I'm Annalise Mellor, I'm 16 years old, and I'm a budding artist. I specialize in both realism and semi-realism artwork, in addition to abstract, anime and manga-style designs.
I've been in love with art my whole life. I would draw all the time; I'd draw whenever I got the chance!
I first started drawing digitally when I was about twelve years old. I drew on a phone application called Draw Something with a stylus made with a Q-tip and aluminum foil, which was a nice homemade alternative to real styluses! I really enjoyed this fun app!

Draw Something was an amazing experience, however the app would often crash and many were angry because their hours of work would disappear because you had to draw in one sitting. There was no save button, no zooming, no layers, nothing. Many of these people switched over to an app called Sketch Club for it's photoshop-like features. It was a fantastic alternative, and I use it to this date!
It was a rough beginning, and I took a long break because I had a hard time adjusting to the application.
My very first drawing on Sketch Club. Very rough, but is a nice comparison photo. :) (2014, age 13)
I decided to pick up Sketch Club again after time, and learned many tricks and techniques through online tutorials and simply by watching others draw. I was very honored that my piece, Serenity, reached #1 on top drawings of the month on SC. I also was a finalist in Best Young Artist of the year and a finalist in Best Realistic Portrait with my piece Serenity on SC as well.
Wheel of Progress in 2015. (Age 14)
I have continued to improve, and I now own Photoshop CC, which helps me finalize my drawings.

I strive to improve every day, and hope to one day pursue a career in graphic design and illustration at Harding University in 2019.
